Welcome to Unruly Neurons
Since I was a child I’ve struggled with depression and anxiety. I just didn’t know what it was. Looking back, I think of how scared I was to be experiencing anxiety and intrusive thoughts. I had no help and no guide. I don’t want that to happen to anyone, so my goal is to normalize depression and other mental conditions.
I’ve been diagnosed with major depressive disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, avoidant personality disorder, binge eating disorder, dysthymia and substance use disorder.
I take pride in no longer being embarrassed or ashamed by my illnesses. I hope everyone will join in the fight to end the stigma of mental illness.
Thanks for reading!
